A Latitude Whiskey Club Special Interest Group (SIG) is a community of individuals who have a common bond around the enjoyment of Whiskey. This could be those with an interest in a specific style of whiskey such as Bourbon, Irish, Japanese, Rye, Scotch, or some other. Maybe you want to meet with others and share favorite cocktails. Perhaps you want to learn about pairing whiskey with food. It can be anything. In fact, you can be a member of as many SIGs as you want.
The SIGs get together outside of normal club events, likely in member’s homes or maybe an outside of the community venue. They can do bottle shares, cocktail parties, food pairings, style specific education, distillery visits, or whatever else they can think of. Approval from the LWC board is not required for any of their activities. However, they must keep the Chair of the Program Committee apprised of their activities.
Given that SIGs are not official LWC organizations, they are all to be self-funded. Club monies will not be provided in support of their activities without full Board approval.
